cinco de mayo recipes

If it's Cinco de Mayo and you want to eat some good Mexican food....but you don't feel like going out...try some of these recipes!
Now, there are some staples that are important to make sure you include in your menu.
First up! Guacamole!
Guacamole has been repurposed into many different forms. But the traditional Mexican guacamole has a few key ingredients:
- avocado
- chopped onion
- chopped tomatoes
- chopped cilantro
- lemon juice
- jalepeno pepper
- salt and pepper
Mash the avocados till their creamy. Then combine the rest of the ingredients in a separate bowl, and gradually add that mixture to the big bowl.
For the main course - make Machaca! The easiest way to make tender shredded pork and beef that can be filled into any tortilla or taco. Just a few simple ingredients:
- beef rump roast
- pork loin roast
- salt
- pepper
- enchilada sauce
- green chiles
Just throw in a slow cooker and let it rip!
And finally - margaritas.
This one is my favorite - a frozen strawberry margarita.
To make this, you will need:
- tequila
- triple sec
- frozen sliced strawberries in syrup
- limeade concentrate
Throw in a blender and viola! Drink!
